Hello, I am trying to find anyone who could possibly help trace my father. I am the illegitimate daughter of Irene Hilda Ward (Hilda) (nee Jacques), who was born in 1922 and lived in Frimley Green, Surrey. She was the widow of Leading Seaman Leslie Ward RN., who was killed during the 2nd WW. in about 1942. I was born in December 1945 in Woking, Surrey and was given the name of Ann Irene Ward. I am assuming my father was a serviceman (possibly Army), as Frimley Green is close to Aldershot, Camberley, Deepcut and so on. I would dearly love to hear from anyone who may well have had a relationship with my mother during 1945. I do know that there were American servicemen as well as British stationed in the area/s during the time. Please help me to locate any family that I may have and do not know about and I will be eternally grateful. |
