Trying to find further cousins: Ruth BAKER, b 29 05 1750 was my 4x gr grandmother b Westfield, E Ssx, d/o john BAKER (Not the armigeerous one) and Lucy SANDHURST/SANDERS BAP 11 sEPT 1748 AT sEDDLESCOMBE, e sSX . Ruth m William SELDEN (1730, ore, Hastings. Many children inc Martha SELDEN bapt 08 07 1789 at St Mary -in-the Castle, Hastings. She m Edward BATES, b 1782, Ewhurst, E Ssx at Bodiam in 1806, his father, Benjamin BATES, signed the entry, all others made a x. Any-one out there recognise Benjamin, my 4x gr grandfather, s/o Thomas BATES of Northiam m Jane, marriage and her maiden name still unknown, Out of Ssx?, replies welcome, Lesley |
