Hello family members, I would like to hear from anyone who has any information about Clark family from Old Monkland, Lanark, Scotland, from about 1800 to 1860. Specifically I am looking for descendants or relations of Hugh Clark b. 1797 and Mary Templeton b.1799 of Old Monkland. They also lived at Millport, Buteshire during 1820's and 1830s. Names of 2nd generation Clarks incuded; John, Hugh, Margaret, William, George, Alexander, Samuel and David. Most of the younger family went to New Zealand in 1862. Young Hugh b.1824 married Bethia Russell b.1833 at Middle, New Monkland in 1855. They had a son in 1857 also called Hugh.Where are their descendants now? We would LOVE to hear from you. Kiwi Cousins.
