Looking for info on Helen Megan DAVIES (b. 1897) who's 'family came from Wales' or ('who's family lived in Torquay, Devon') lived on 'a farm at the foot of the Drakensberg Mountains' in Natal, South Africa. She married an Unknown NESBITT ('from Belfast, Ireland') and whilst living at the farm, produced three children: Cordelia (Cora) (b. 1915c - 1932c) Died during birth of son? Henrietta (b. 1917) Michael (b. 1919c - ?) Unknown NESBITT then left or died, and whilst still at the farm, she remarried Henning (Hartus) PRETORIUS producing at least four more children: Henning Pretorius died between 1957 and 1963. Birth Certificates from Natal are difficult to obtain as most people neglected to formerly register births and the info that may have been available appears to be destroyed. Have been told that Helen Megan DAVIES father was a Steven/Stephen DAVIES. I'm at a loss and any help would be gratefully received and appreciated. Thanks Caryl |
