Member Since: June 2006 Posts: 3 Send Message	I am trying to trace my grandfather David Robertson. He was born in Newington, Edinburgh in 1878. He was a butler/valet and served in the Scots Guards as a batman to a lord in WW1. He was killed in action in October in 1918. He married Ada Maud Welch and they had a son, my father Alan William, in 1909. In the first decade of the 1990's they lived in Chatham, kent. We know nothing of the history of his family or any details of my grandmother. We suspect that my grandfather and my father were the only respective .children
