I am searching for the mother of Thomas Taylor. I know his father was William Taylor from the certificates of the two marriages of Thomas. His first marriage was on 30/8/1880 where he is listed as age 18 and father is William a wood turner. This marriage was at Parish Church, St Nicholas, Newcastle on Tyne and one of the witnesses was also a William Taylor (father or brother or just a coincidence) Second marriage was 23/2/1891 where he is listed as a widower aged 30.Father William still alive and listed as a joiner. This marriage was at St Edmunds Church. Gateshead. I have had no success looking for his birth and he was very inconsiderate by marrying for the first time in 1880 so can't check the 1881 census. Can not be found on 1871 census although I have found a William who is a joiner living at Dog Bank Newcastle but can't confirm anything until I find his mother. Hope this will strike a chord in someones memory |
