My name is Len Evans I have been seaching for some time now for the marriage of my paternal Grandfather. He was born 1832 in Boston Lincs Father also John Evans mother Ann millington . I have G/F john on every census until 1891 He vanishes from the poll books of Battersea London 1898 Presume he died then .Can find no record of his death or burial. I have found the birth records of all the children born in Battersea between 1873 to 1895. All the birth certs state that he is married to Emma [ nee] Milborrow born c1850 Lambeth London. No marriage record found.G/m Emma's death 2nd aug 1910 Last known address in battersea Emma's Name on poll book from 1898 to 1910 On the 1861 census I have found him in Lodon classified as married must have been married twice on the 1871 census he is classified as widower, so he must have set up house c1873 with Emma. First child Ada Mary Emma born 19th july 1873. By the way his occupation is given as Stationary Engine Driver. As I am nearly 80 and not in the best of health I hope some one out there can help Also seeking Arthur John Evans Born Battersea 1874 believed to have died Ashford Middlesex in the 1950s do not know of any children Thank you for taking the time to read this.
