Would be very grateful if any Martins or descendents of Martins from the Lydney, Bream or Newland area of Gloucester could contact me. I am trying to find out what happened to my 92 year old father's uncles, Wm charles Martin and Harry Martin who moved there and are recorded on the 1901 census. Both Wm (known as Uncle Billy) and Harry were born in Gislingham, Suffolk to Thomas Wm and Matilda Martin nee Turner. Wm Charles Martin married Elizabeth and had 3 sons named Charles b1890, Thomas b1896 and Walter b1900 who were born in Bream. |
