SAMUEL COX Although a 'Devon' family, Samuel was born in London in 1884 to JAMES EDWARD COX and SARAH JANE DAYMENT where JEC was a policeman. They returned to Devon in the 1890's where in the 1901 census Samuel was living in Bridford, Devon as an apprentice Blacksmith. He married ALICE MAUD ARCHER in 1904 but I cannot find any trace after this date. There is a possibility they emigrated ? to Canada. His siblings were JAMES / ROSE / ETHELENDIA. His parents ran the Palk Arms in Hennock until JEC died in 1914. SJC died in 1939. Please contact me if you can assist. MANY THANKS |
