My father was Charles Robert Clark, (Bob) born 13/12/16 in Gibraltar. He had a brother Frederick, sisters Daisy and Marjorie and I believe another sister who died young. Their parents were Elizabeth Maud aka Mary nee Gronert and Frederick James Clark, who began their marriage in 1901 on the Isle of Wight. I can trace the Gronerts back a little way, but I can find no records of my father's siblings or his father. Totally stuck at the beginning! Can anyone help? Jan I now know that Frederick's father was Thomas from Frederick's marriage certificate. I still can't find Frederick's DOB so that I can locate the correct Thomas, nor do I know anything about his family or which part of the country the Clarks originated from. I know the family spread to Portsmouth (Bob & Lore, Daisy & 'Blackie' Blackman), Yately (Marjorie and Norman), & Eastbourne (Frederick jnr & Madge). Any descendents out there? |
