Trying to find Davies

Trying to find Edward Robert Davies (may be recorded as Davis) born circa 1898, died 18/12/1945. He was married to Hannah Blent. They lived in Shrewsbury. Children Alfred, Enid, Jack, Dennis (also known as Mike), Muriel, twins Peter and Ann. All the children stayed/lived in Shrewsbury apart from Alfred who settled in Lossiemouth, Scotland. I have Edwards death cert but cannot find any trace of birth or marriage details. I know he had brothers/sisters as one of his brothers married Hannah's sister Sally. I'm desperately trying to find details of his parents and siblings for my MIL (Ann) who is the last surviving child. He died when she was 8 so she has a very vague memory of him. She believes he came from the Shrewsbury area, but to be honest he could have been born anywhere! We also think that his father married twice but can't be sure, therefore we don't know if Edward was from the first or 2nd marriage. The only other vague info I have is that he was in either Royal Navy or Merchant Navy at some point. We have a photo of him in uniform but cannot tell which it is. When MIL first gave me his details she said his name was Robert, but having seen the grave I know it is definately Edward Robert. So he may have used the name Robert but could have also been known as Ted or Eddie. Sorry it's so vague. If any of these names appear in your tree please contact me. Any info greatly received. Sue
