Edward Roberts, Annie Roberts, Anne Roberts. Hi, seeking any info on my deceased Grandfather, Edward Roberts. Born 17/08/1908 NEWHAVEN, East Sussex. Married Dorothy May Hoad 08/04/1939 @ Staines, Middlesex. Edward: 1908 - 1968. Dorothy: 1920 - 1985. They had 5 children... Edward's father is not stated on his Birth or Marriage Certificates. His mother was ANNIE Roberts, a Domestic servant. That is all I know about her... The 'oldies' in my family, insist that Edward was adopted/fostered at some stage & that he had at least 1biological sister...? ( Possibly called Anne ) This is the bit that we would love to find out about ! I cannot find out much more at the moment, because I need the 1911 census details... If any of this rings a remote bell, please get in touch. Also, if anyone knows how to find pre-war Adoption records, please let me know ! Many thanks, Debbie O'Sullivan. |
