Hi, At long last I have been able to trace Charles Marshall Bennett who was my grandfather. My mother was Monica Bennett sister of your grandfather. Charles Marshall Bennett was born in Colchester. He served in the Norfolk regiment for over 21 years, returning again during the 1st world war. His father was a Charles David Bennett born in Nayland Suffolk, his mother Clarissa Bennett nee Bateman Parker. I have a lot more information if you would like to know. Regards Jeanne |
