Pat Halliwell I am trying to find some information about my grandfather Harry Green (Biffa) l think he may have been born in the 1890s. He was born in Stoke on Trent. Before the lst world war he worked as a bell boy at the Midland Hotel in Bradford. He served in the Kings Royal Rifles in WW1. He received the MM for bravery on the field of battle. He stayed in the army and spent his life in Winchester where he married my grand -mother Daisy, They had three boys my father Robert Henry, Leslie Desmond and Maurice Guy. I would be very grateful for any information about his early life in the midlands |
