I am trying to find information on: JACOB HARRISON Born 1804/6 (probably Glos), Rag Rug Maker. Died 13 January 1856 Rockness, Horsley, Glos. married: SARAH HAWKISN b. 1807 Gloucestershire I can track Jacob on the 1841 and 1851:- 1841 Census, he was a patient in Gloucestershire Royal Infirmary 1851 Census, he was a Prisoner in Gloucester County Jail. I next have prison records on a Jacob Harrison who seems to fit, who was transported for 7 years for receiving stolen wool & flax cloth. Before 1841, I can find no trace of Jacob; I can find Sarah through 1841, 1851 and then in 1861 and 1871 living as a Widow. There children were: Johanna Clarke Harrison 1829 Horsley, Glos George Clarke Harrison 1831, Nailsworth, Glos Louisa Harrison 1834, Nailsworth, Glos Samuel Clarke Harrison 1835 Daniel Harrison, 1837, Horsley, Glos Joseph Harrison 1841, Horsley, Glos Edward Harrison 1844, Horsley, Glos Daniel Harrison 1847, Horsley, Glos If you have any information about Jacob Harrison, or his family, other than the census information, I would love to hear from you. |
