Hi I am interested in GEORGE ALFRED CLARKE there are several of them (4 at least) in the North East or Yorkshire area. I beleive there was a Clarke Street in York named after one of them or a relative of them. The street has been demolished now but they had connections to the building trade in the 1800s at least. My Grandfather (born 1914) was Alan Humphrey and his brother George Hessle Keith I beleive their names were surnames on the maternal sides of the Clarke tree at some point. I am new to this and would love to hear from any Clarkes who think they may be able to help me! Alison |
