Searching for Decendants of Joseph Harrison,Salford Manchester area b approx 1820? a Land Surveyor,Daughter Mary Harrison b 1850/1, he had 1 or more sons, Mary married our Great grandfather Evans Brown an American Mariner in Liverpool April 1873, Children Grandad Joseph b Jan 1874, Harriet b Dec 1880, Liverpool, Mary took them to Salford in Feb 1886( possibly to her Family for help) where the children were put in a Boys & Girls Refuge Home after she went out & didn't return, unable to find her death,possibly killed by tram?. Evans down on Home Form as Died 1881!!! He Drowned tragically in the Potomac River nr Alexandria Va Usa in June 1903 after an accident while trying to raise the mainsail alone on a Schooner & it fell.Harriet sent to Washington about 1894/5 she died in a fire before 1903 when Grandad went to washington Jan 1903, Grandad's Cousin Edith Harrison b 1918? lived in Wythenshawe Manchester,she Emigrated to Perth Australia 1947/8,with Billy Phillips who she married,her brothers names unknown.Her Father Remarried after death of her mother, she stayed with our grandmother Margaret Brown & fam in 1930s, any information welcome of her family,We have Photograph's of her Father & Stepmother, Edith at 18 & others & with Billy Phillips on her engagement, Anne Vincent.
