I am trying to find the relatives of my Grandmothers siblings, her name was Ann or Anne Hopkins nee Carter born 1898/1899, married to Frederick Joseph Hopkins she died in January 1940 of Cancer. I know she had at least 2 sisters and 1 Brother (her twin) maybe more. One sister Elizabeth known as Nance or Nancy, her married name was Hooker, she lived I think in Peabody Buildings somewhere in Lambeth. The other sister was Margaret (I think) known as Maggs, she married a Mr Galley or Gulley the family went to Australia in the 1950's. I have recently got hold of a photo taken during the WW11 showing two women which we are convinced is Auntie Nance and Auntie Maggs buying vegetables after a V2 raid. Please contact me ASAP if you have any information reference my Grandmothers family. Many Thanks Regards Sue |
