Hi, I'm trying to find any information about George Allen, my grt Grandad. He was born in 1877/1878 possibly in Scotland, but i'm not sure. He married Nellie Rees in 1904,when he was living & working in Woodford,Essex. He was an asylum attendant at the time of his marriage. I have his marriage certificate & his fathers name was Ezekiel Allen, who was a bricklayer. I have tried both the Scottish & UK census's with no luck. I know he died when my grandad (Bertram Allen) was very young, I think in WW1 but I really don't know where to go from here.I don't even know if he had any siblings. Would love to hear from anyone who has info on either George or his father Ezekiel. Regards Coreen |
