My Grandfather Charles William Watson was born in Saundby, Nottingham in 1879 although his family originally came from Halton Holegate, in the Spilsby area of Lincoln. He was married to my Grandma in 1911 in Cricklewood, North London but this was his second marriage and I would really like to find out what his first wife's name was. I don't think there were any children and he probably wasn't married all that long. His family lived in Lombard Street, Orston, Nottingham in 1881 and he had several brothers and sisters. His parents names were William Watson b. 1846 in Halton Holegate, Lincoln and his mother's name was Eliza nee Cole(s) b. 1844 in Wainfleet, Lincoln. I believe the men worked mainly in gardening and horticulture and when William the father died, some of the family may have gone back to Lincoln to live. Charles went on to become a chemist and died at a young age of blood poisoning in 1920. If anyone has any information on this family or Charles first wife's name I would be pleased to hear from them.
