BLANCHE FLORENCE TAYLOR Oringinally born in Rangoon Burma, came over from Malta with her son Thomas Gilbert whom she gave birth to while at sea on the 07.02.1912. Her first husband ( Mr. Taylor) no other details, died in August 1914 leaving Blanche with a son and a four month old daughter Florence. Mr. Taylor was in the army stationed over in Malta. I don't know why she came to the Midlands, perhaps her first husband came from these parts I don't know. She met and married my grandfather Frederick Alexander Morris round about 1917/18 in Walsall Blocxwich area of the West Midland near Wolverhampton. between them they had five children. Edward Ebenezer d.o.b 1919 Joan Anneata d.o.b 1920 Freda Joan d.o.b 1925 Allen Frederick d.o.b 1924 Alexander Frederick d.o.b 1934 The family seem to have lost touch with Thomas her first born son, he left the family home at the age of sixteen, and I think that he moved to SheffieldI, would love to know about him and any thing to do with Blanche Florence Taylor. Her daughter Florence is still alive she is 93 and lives with her daughter Mary and son in law Joe down in Cornwall. Pam Jeynes (Nee MORRIS) |
