HANNAH TURNER: Any info very appreciated. She was born 1889? in Tewkesbury, Glos. All i know is that 'her ' mother was a true Romany Gypsy' , who when she died had her horse shot??, and the caravan and all belongings burnt. Her father later remarried ,and told her not enough room inthe house for 2 women, so he put her into service at 14. She then married Thomas Altree(leek, Staffs) and they moved to Cornwall ,as he was a miner. She had 9 children, Edie, Daisy, John, Donald, Phylis, Maud, Tom, Bill & Kathleen(my nan). They lived in Carn Brea Castle, Redruth for a while, but moved around Cornwall often. ANY INFO MUCH NEEDED, Very Greatful, Julie |
