Help, I think I'm going mad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Many thanks to Margaret who gave me several pointers to start me on the Harris side of my history. I'm now stuck trying to find the birth index for my grt grt gran, ANNIE HARRIS. I want to get her birth certificate, but can't find the index. I keep looking over the same dates and indexes, but to no avail. On the 1881 census, she is 2. On the 1901 census she is 21. Her birth place is written as Middleton, warwickshire. In 1881 the address was Stoke End, Middleton, Warwickshire. My family always thought she was born in May 1880, but the dates don't seem to add up. Her parents were James Harris and Hannah. I don't know Hannah's maiden name, which is one reason I want Annie's birth certificate. If anyone can suggest somewhere to look that I haven't already tried, I would be really grateful. I thought she would be straight forward to find....obviously I was wrong!!!! Best wishes, Karen |
