I have just started to build my tree and need some advise can anyone help please. I was told by my Uncle years ago that my father left my mother when I was born. There is no one that I can ask for any information. My mother died in 1999, My stepfather is dead, and I went under the name of Campbell untill I was about 15 years old, not knowing my real name was Clark. My fathers name is Clement Clark, and he was 20 when I was born so he would have been born in 1918, in Nebraska, USA and he was a painter. This information is on my birth certificate. As you can see I have little to go on, any guideance would be appreciated. I was born in Dayton Ohio USA, in Montgomery county. My mother was born in jamestown Ohio 1920, I understand she along with her brothers and sisters grew up in a orphanage near Xenia Ohio and the place where the orphanage was is now a big Lake. My mothers maiden name was Catherine Mae Fleming she later married Kenneth Campbell, my step father. Im not sure if she was married to Clement Clark or not, and I assume she was married to Kenneth Campbell. This is about all I have to go on so any help would be appreicated. Thank You Ken
