An amendment to my first message, thanks to Anna. My Great grand father:- Alexander Betts Harrison; born 1862 (Betts was the surname of the lodger!!) :- Sarah Jane Harrison, mother born I think 1848-1842. Alexander married Sarah Jane (nee Joy) in 18886-7 I think They had 3 sons:- Archibald born in 1887--- Bootham, York Edwin born in 1889 --- Acombe, York Clarence born in 1891-- Acombe, York. Clarence was my grandfather. Unfortunately, I cannot find any trace of Alexander after 1891. He worked for the Great Northern Railway. I can find no trace of Archibald nor Edwin after 1901 either. Anyone out there knowing anything would be a great help, I can't tell you, I'm slowly driving my husband mad. Thank you.. Roberta Wilson |
