JOHN WOOD who possibly had an illegitimate baby with JANE DAVENPORT in 1870 in Manchester England.. My gr grandfather called himself JOHN WOOD born 1870 Manchester England. According to his court records of 1884 he was JOHN WOOD ALIAS DAVENPORT. He insists his father was JOHN WOOD (an iron moulder) on both his marriage certificates. He was born 1870 and was using the name WOOD in 1884 and for the rest of his life until his death in 1922. Was John Wood (whom he called his father) his STEP-father, his MOTHERS BOYFRIEND, or his REAL FATHER??? This has had me stumped for the last 7 years, anyone any suggestions?? I am so frustrated as I was born WOOD and was a WOOD for all my life til I married and it isnt even my name?? |
