Member Since: January 2005 Posts: 0 Send Message	BEACHAMPTON, Buckinghamshire. George Bennett was Baptised 26/06/1836, probably born there 12/05/1836. Parents Thomas 12/01/1812 and Mary 11 or 12/07/1812. George is believed to have gone to U.S.A. to fight for North in Civil War. He married Ruth Mitchell and lived in Dorset. Family rumor suggests he may have been married before (? in Bucks). He adopted the name Derry-Bennett on his return from USA, maybe married a 'Derry'. His Death Certificate shows occupation as Ironmoulder. Any information or suggestions appreciated
