Thanks for help given to me on the various boards. I have now found that my James Peter Martin died in 1943 of TB in Chorley. He was 53 and a trawler engineer. His widow May Martin (nee Bohanna) registered the death and his usual address was Rutland Avenue in Fleetwood Lancashire. May was his second wife, whom he married in October 1939. I can work out that he was born in 1890 but I have not been able to find his birth certificate or where he was born. I have no idea where he lived prior to his marriage to May and I have not been able to identify his wife or his first marriage, her death, or any children from it. I hope that he is a piece of someone else's jigsaw - perhaps they don't know what happened to him after 1939. Regards Abigail |
