In the 1861 census my G.Grandfather John Harrison b.1811, his wife Catherine b.1803, son John b.1840 and daughter Margaret b.1845 were living in Liverpool. All were born in Whitehaven, Cumberland. I know that John Harrison senior was to remain in Liverpool for the rest of his life - having a second marriage by the time of the l871 census to Ellen (Bamforth) b.1823, Hunslet, Yorkshire. His daughter Margaret married a Borrowdale and had a son David b.1869. If anyone out there has any Whitehaven/Liverpool connections with the name of Harrison I would be interested to hear from you. |
