We are looking for Martha Ann Incell (nee Allen) born around 1860 in Worms Ash, Bromsgrove, Worcestershire. She married my great-great-grandfather, Levi, around 1878 in Catshill, Bromsgrove. After their 4th child - Frank - around 1889, Martha 'ran off', abandoning her family. Her 3 remaining children - Mary Ann ‘Polly’, Sarah (Lizzie) Elizabeth & Frank (the eldest Ellen having died at 10) were spread around relatives as Levi apparently died of a broken heart! We are aware that Martha must have had other children with this 'mystery man' with whom she absconded as they came to find their 1/2 sister (Polly - my great-grandmother) in the 1930/40s at Stoneybridge Farm, Bromsgrove, but she refused to acknowledge them! My family is very eager to discover what happened to Martha - where she may have gone, with whom & the new life she made for herself. So far, lacking any idea of any possible names she may have adopted, we have run a blank! We would be so grateful if any one has any information regarding a Martha Ann Incell/Allen, or any information regarding possible members of this family. Other surname variations found for this family have been Insal & Insull. Further family tree history & information can be supplied if needed! |
