BARBARA RAYNER Trying to find any Browns of Aston, Birmingham. My Grandfather was Charles Edward Brown, born in either America or Canada, in 1869, his sister Louise was born on the boat returning with the Cheshire regiment, and was registered in Ireland in 1871. Gt. Grandad was John Joseph Brown, who was a colour sergent in the Cheshire Regiment, and married either an American or Canadian woman. Gt.Gt.Grandad was Joseph Clarke, who married Mary Weston, Grandad had 13 children, a few I can remember where Gertrude, Mary (my mum), Leonard, Bernard Gordan Elsie Edna, Mum came to yorkshire when she was 21, as housemaid to a Methodist Minister Rev. Simon Thwait, any relatives still in Birmingham who want to get in touch please contact me. |
