hi my names Denise Marshall i'm trying to find anyone related to my great grandmother Amy Kate Davis born 15 June 1870, her mother was Catherine Davis nee Baker,her father was Alfred Charles Davis they lived at 37 Grays Inn Road Holborn , when Amy was married she was living at 18 lower Halden St Themesmead i think that is right as it's hard to read the marriage cert she married Albert Edward Hales on the18th June 1899 i believe her parents came from Wales , Amy died on the 16th June 1950 in Woolwich, I believe she was born in Holborn 1870 , Albert died at the age of 53 at 71 Brewer St Woolwich he was a genral laberour, Amy Kate lived at 71 John Wilson St woolwich when she died at the age 79, they had nine children between them........................................................................................ Charles Patrick Davis 1896 under mothers maiden name on birth cert, but in 1901 census he shows up as Charles Patrick Hales.Charles has three half sisters and five half brothers but i don't know if they knew they were half brothers and sisters as i said he was the oldest born so his parents may have never told them as his surname had changed before they were born. he married Florence Edith Dyer on 26th Dec 1921 at the Holy Trinity Church in Charlton .i think all his brothers and sisters didn't know about Charles being registered under their mothers name at birth as far as i know even Charles may not of known. ........................................................................................ Amy Rosina born 1900 she married Water William Bowker in 1921 known as Bill married on the 17th Nov 1923 at Woolwhich register office William lived at 41 union St before the marriage and Amy at 71 Brewer St Woolwich. their children were Joyce 1928 -129 not sure haven't been able to locate her yet.i was told she is the oldest, Mavis 1930 between July-August in Lewisham Pamela 1936 between Oct-Dec in Woolwich Patrica 1941 Jan-March in Woolwich John 1945 between July- Sept Woolwich ........................................................................................ Millicent M 1902 she died young ........................................................................................ Maud Alice 1903 was 81 when she died on the 25th Nov 1984. she married William Leach on the 26th Dec 1939 ,he died in 1946 They had a daughter Patrica Leach born late 30s early 40s there about i need to verify the dates. Maud remarried in 1947 Joseph Hegarty i think they could of also married on the 26th Dec as on the GRO page it says married between Oct -Dec 1947.awaiting to marriage cert to see if I'm right. it seems 26th Dec was a common date for marriages in this family as Charles , Maud and Fred all married on that date but in different years. all the family seemed to like winter weddings for some reason. ......................................................................................... Albert E born around 1904-1905 awaiting his birth cert, he Married Elsie surname unknown . UPDATE STILL CAN'T FIND HIS BIRTH CERT EVEN WITH A SEARCH BY MYSELF AND THE GRO .SO IF ANYONE CAN HELP PLEASE GET IN TOUCH AS HE'S THE LAST OF MY GREAT UNCLES TO FIND.......................................................................................... Arthur Frederick known as Fred my grandfather born 1909 he married Alice Arpino on the 26th Dec 1936. Their children Rita Alice Hales born 23rd January 1939 Colchester. Melvin Arthur Hales born 14th August 1947 Colchester ......................................................................................... John Leslie 1911 died 1943 in Tunisia aged 31 ......................................................................................... Alfred William 1913 died 1925 at the age of 11 ......................................................................................... Charles married a Florance Dyer they had 3 Children Joan born 1922 between Oct -Dec Woolwich Iris around 1924 between July-Sept she died at about 17 1944 Woolwich Jack around 1927 between July-Sept he was known as Jack Woolwich ........................................................................................ Albert i beleave he came between Maud and George so as i said he would of been born 1904-1905 his wife was Elsie they had three girls Vivian born mid 1930s early 1940s ? Molly born late 30s early 40s?
