Trying to find any information on WILLIAM WALKER,b1886. Although he was born in Lancashire, he moved to EASINGTON, DURHAM after his marriage in 1909. His wife was Sarah Parkinson, she died in 1930, and in 1933 he married Florence Clarke nee Turnbull, and moved to Yorkshire, where he lived for the rest of his life. I think most of his brothers and sisters moved to Durham at the same time, and their names and dates of birth are as follows: JOHN WALKER b 1885. FARNSWORTH. LANCS WILLIAM (MY GRANDAD) THOMAS WALKER b1889. FARNSWORTH. LANCS ROBERT WALKER b 1894. FARNSWORTH. LANCS MARY A WALKER b 1900. PLATT BRIDGE. LANCS ALICE WALKER b 1897. PLATT BRIDGE Parents were Thomas Walker and Betsey Allen, both born Lancashire. I beleive that all the men were coal miners, and Shotton Colliery rings a bell. William and Sarahs children were, Thomas, Robert, John and Mary William and Florence's child was Doreen Walker (my Mum) If anyone can help it would be appreciated, Linda |
