I am currently tracing my grandmother's lineage, the Andersons, who originated from Aberdeenshire in Scotland and ended up in Ayrshire Scotland. The info I have to date is: George Anderson (evangelist/missionary) b. Aberdeenshire c.1836 died c. 1876. Married Isabella Greig (b. 1844 New Pitsligo, Aberdeenshire). They had 7 children - Mary Ann Anderson b. 1859 Old Deer Aberdeenshire; George Anderson b. 28/4/1861 New Pitsligo Aberdeenshire; James Trail Anderson b. 6/1/1864 Peterhead Aberdeenshire; John Anderson b. 17/12/1867 Falkirk, Stirling; Joseph Anderson b. 25/03/1871 Kilmarnock Ayrshire; David Robertson Anderson b. 4/4/1875 Galston Ayrshire and Alexander Anderson (Tailor and my great-great grandfather) b. 3/5/1866 in Peterhead, Aberdeenshire. I am looking to trace my tree further back from George Anderson (the evangilist/missionary). His parents were James Anderson and Mary (maiden name unknown) and that is all the info I have on them. Please contact me if you think we can help each other! Leah Chynoweth |
