Denise Ford I am trying to find out any information concerning my Jackson family from Down Ireland. It seems that 3 brothers John, John and Robert set sail for Australia on the Stambul and arrived in South Australia in February 1858. they settled in Truro sth Australia and it seems that they had either two more brothers or reletive there as well. There names were a Samual and William Jackson. John Jackson was born 28/2/1838 Dunoughmore nr Belfast. The other John was born c1837 Down NIR. Robert who is my ggrandfather was born in c1844 Down NIR. Their father is listed as a John as well. No metion of a mothers name. Please contact me by email if anyone could help me. |
