Hello im looking into the background of my Grandmothers family. My Grandmothers name was Georgina Melvina Roberts her fathers name was Edward James and Mothers name was Elizabeth Louisa Roberts maiden name was Wright she came from New Castle. My Great Grandfather was a romany but birth place is unknown, g-grandfather must have travelled to new castle at some point and meet g-granma. Elizabeths background was a well to do family and very proud, church people cathalic but disowned Elizabeth when she meet Edward Roberts. The only background i have is that they brought their children up in Deptford St Pauls and lived at 10 Hale Street Deptford Edward worked as a labouer Docker and died when my Gran Georgina was around 13-14 years old and she was put out to service. Is there any one out there that share the same relations or possible background that could help. Thank you Kelly |
