I am looking for info on WILLIAM MARTIN and LILLIAN MAY CARTER who would be my great-grandparents. they are the parents of my grandfather IVAN RONALD MARTIN who was born in Redhill in 1915. I believe he had a sister named ZARA MARTIN/SARA MARTIN who married a Canadian soldier in WWll IVAN married my grandmother BETTY MARION SILKSTONE in 1945 and they lived in Kingston Upon Thames in Surrey. I also have been told that William was also known a Leonard and worked for a building company. I also have information that william died sometime in this 1970s in Redhill Surrey. I am having real trouble finding any infomation, I am told that this could be because Williams family were from Eastern Europe. this I have no info on but only speculation. I would love to kbow more, so if anyone has any info, please email me!! |
