Can anyone advise/help on finding information on sergt.Thomas William Walker born in Camden, London in 1914. I know during the 2WW he was captured during the Libyan campaign in 1942 and was sent to Italy. When the fascist government was overthrown he escaped but was recaptured and taken to Austria. latterly he had been at the Stalag at Fallingbostel. On April the 6th the British prisoners were told to pack up there belongings and they started marching. After 12 days sergt.Thomas William Walker and four comrades escaped. They hid in barns during the day. After dodging the Germans for several days they were overtaken by the British forces and made there way on an army vehicle to Lunenburg and finally brought to England by plane from an airport at Reine. Thanks
