Trying to find any Allens from the Hindley/Platt Bridge areas of Lancashire. My great grandmother was Betsey J Allen, born 1866 in Platt Bridge, Lancs. Her father was William Allen, born in 1824 in Kearsley, Lancs. He married Mary Green on 10th September 1848. The other children from William and Mary are John William, Alice Allen,(married James Hargreaves). Thomas. Sarah, Mary E, and Samuel. Williams father was James Allen, born 1796 in Radcliffe, Lancs. Any help would be appreciated, have just made contact over the last couple of days with a distant cousin, who is a direct descendant of Samuel. Now it would be good to find anyone else.
