BENNETT and GIBBS and BIRD in STUDLEY, WARWICKSHIRE: Elizabeth Bennett born Studley, Warwickshire, England approx.1827 to 1830. On the 1851 census I have found an Elizbth Bennett born approx. 1830, unmarried, as a daughterL (presume step daughter!) with a Gibbs family in Studley - John Gibbs b circa 1793 is a widower, also present Johns son-Thomas Gibbs b circa 1834. Does anyone know if this is the same person? or if she is yours could you let me know-Thank you! My Elizabeth Bennett (not Catholic as far as I am aware-I know there are 2 Bennett families of Studley 1 Catholic and 1 C of E) married George Bird 20th may 1861 at Studley (on IGI ref. it spells her surname with only 1 T on the end-I have not got the marriage cert. to check this BUT on her daughters birth cert. it spells Bennett with 2 T's!) and was 7 or 10 years older than him. I have their details 1871 onwards. Their son Alfred Bird was my Great Grandfather. Any help on finding out who her family were would be greatly appreciated! Thank you Catherine |
