Trying to find Lewis

I am trying to find out which of the LEWS on my tree was married to a POTTER. On documents Lews is often written as Lewis but the literates sign Lews. In the will of Zachariah Lews of Canewdon, made 1795, there is a bequest to Zachariah Lews (or Lewis) Potter son of George Wayland Potter of Canewdon. I assume that either one of Zachariahs sisters or aunts was married to George W Potter (no indication of Georges age). Zachariah Lews had a brother John Lews who had a son Zachariah Lews and their father was Zachariah Lews! Sometimes Zachariah is written as Zechariah and Lews as Lewis. There are also records relating to the Lews family in the Tollesbury area of Essex. I wondered if you have added George to your tree or if anyone has a Potter / Lews(Lewis) connection in the Essex area in the mid to late 1700s. Thank you Mandy
