Looking for my wife's Taylor relatives(or their descendants) Her grandfather JAMES FRANCIS TAYLOR, b. 1863 in Manchester, married Elizabeth Sarah McLoughlin in 1883. They had at least 5 children: William 16, Elizabeth A. 13, John F. 8, James, 6, Joseph, 3. (All ages given in 1901 Census). Eileen's dad was James, and she was adopted by Joseph. We knew nothing of the older aunt and uncles until we saw the 1901 census. What happened to the older children? Does anybody know? James Francis's parents were James (b. Devon 1811 or 1822), and Bridget Ross (b. Manchester 1833). They married in 1862, in Manchester. Eileen would love to hear from anyone who sprang from these roots. |
