William Evans RN was born in Millbrook around 1775. He served aboard HMS Ajax at the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805. Last known posting was the HMS Dispatch in October 1813 when he was admitted to hospital. Came to Tasmania around 1815. Died here in the early 1870s. Interested in knowing more about his family or naval service in England. Kim in Tasmania |
