Hi everyone, Anyone with Jacksons from Rotherham/South Yorkshire??? My mother JANET JACKSON b 1942 and her sister SUSAN b1950. Their father ERNEST JACKSON b1915-1993 his siblings BARLOW, JACK and EMILY. Their father JOHN ROBERT JACKSON b1885-1915 his siblings ELIZABETH, GEORGE, HERBERT, JAMES and MARY (born Methwold, Norfolk). Their father WILLIAM JACKSON b 1853 but not in Rotherham. Born in Hilgay/Littleport, Cambridgeshire. Their mother MARTHA ANN (nee BARLOW) b 1851 Feltwell, Norfolk. WILLIAM was a coal merchant and had a business on Ferram Road, Rotherham. If anyone recognises any of the names or can remember anything about the coal yard, I would be glad to hear from you. Many thanks for reading this, Angela |
