Were your Johnson ancestors crew on John Franklin's ill fated expedition to find the North-west passage? If so I would be interested in any information you may have regarding this. I understand that there was a William Johnson aged 45, and a Thomas Johnson aged 28, both Petty Officers, Thomas was also Boatswain's Mate, and a Charles Johnson aged 28, Able seaman. They were all crew on the H.M.S Terror. I have been told that my great grand mother Frances Ellen Johnson's family had some connection with the expedition and am trying to find it. I was also told that her grand father Philip Johnson had a connection but have yet to find a Philip listed as crew. |
