Find Ancestors

Can anyone guide me please. My maternal Grandmother was named FLORENCE JOHNSON. She was born about 1883. From her marriage certificate in May 1904 her father was named as WALTER JOHNSON, occupation BookMaker. Deceased. Florence was 21 when she married and 65 when she died in 1948 hence my thoughts about her being born in 1883, Now I don’t know where she was born or where her parents lived, not even her Mother’s name. On her marriage certificate she was living in Brackley Road, Chiswick, London, as was her husband to be, ERNEST SMITH. She was single with no occupation stated. I have taken all the Florence’s aged 7, 8, & 9 from the 1891 census and aged 17. 18 & 19 from the 1901 and cross referenced against all Walter Johnson’s. Nothing matches at all or is anywhere near. If he died either just before she was born or just after then again there is not a suitable candidate in 1881. In 1907 she was living in the Manchester area where my Mother was born but later on she moved back to the Chiswick area. Has anyone else got any ideas as to how I can find out about her, please. There are far too many to send off for all birth certificates. There is a Walter Johnson on the 1901 census – Bookmaker but having been in touch with his descendents it is definitely NOT him. I have been knocking my head against a huge brick wall for 4 years now. Help. Thanks for reading this. Rona.
