I am trying to trace the family of my great grandfather, THOMAS WILSON, born 1850 in Ford, Shropshire. He was the son of THOMAS, a carpenter, and JANE, and had siblings named ANN, JOHN, MARY, JANE, WILLIAM and possibly an EMILY. In 1885 Thomas married MARTHA ELEANOR ROBERTS in Pontesbury where my grandmother EMILY ANN WILSON and her sister ELLEN JANE WILSON were born. They later moved to Wem, Shropshire, where Thomas worked as a shoemaker, and had several other children - Gertrude, Lizzie, Henry, Edward and Dorothy. In later life Thomas and Martha lived in Willow Street, Oswestry. Thomas died in Oswestry in 1930. If any of these persons appear in your tree, or if you have any further information, I would be very pleased to hear from you. |
