I am trying to find more information about the parents of my great great grandfather, EVAN DAVIES, born 4 May 1850 in Vaughan's Field, Dowlais, S Wales. I know from his birth certificate his father was called WILLIAM DAVIES born 1819 in Llangeller Carmarthen and mother JANE DAVIES born 1821, (nee Davies) in Talley Carmarthen. They married in Mythyr Tydfil in December 1842. Their parents were both called THOMAS DAVIES and lived in the Gelligaer Parish born c1795 -1800 In 1861 WILLIAM and JANE lived in Elizabeth Street, Dowlais and the census shows other sibs as JOHN born 1844 in Talley, DAVID born 1847 in Talley, EVAN (above), BENJAMIN born 1853 in Dowlais and twins RACHAEL and SARAH born1860 in Dowlais. A man called HENRY DAVIES born 1835 Talley Camarthen was a lodger and possibly a relation. EVAN DAVIES married ELIZA RICHARDS in Dowlais c1869 and had sibs, THOMAS, SAMUEL, EVAN, EDWARD, MARY, ELIZABETH, HARRIET and JOHNSTON Does anyone have a family tree that links WILLIAM, JANE or Thomas DAVIES? I have come to a dead end so far....
