I am looking for information on Caleb or Calib Cook who was a thatcher and probably born around 1790-1800. His daughter Mary married George Elsden in Sible Hedingham in 1840 but according to the 1841 Essex census neither was born in Essex. I am figuring either Suffolk, Norfolk or Cambridgeshire could be where Caleb and Mary hailed from. If anyone has a Caleb Cook who was a thatcher (or a Mary whose age is given as 20 in the 1841 census) I would be glad to hear from you. I have found a Calib Cook in Great Baddow whose occupation in 1841 is ag labourer, so I don't really think that could be the one, although it might be...talk about a needle in a haystack! |
