I am looking for any descendents or relatives of the Wilson family originally from Glasgow but relocated to Bolton after WW1. My great grandfather John Wilson was born in Anderston Glasgow around 1880. He married Mary (aka Polly) Bolton and they had 8 children. Robert William Wilson b1906 was my grandfather. The other children were Alec, Lilian, Emma, Agnes, Elizabeth Ellen (aka Nelly), Bridget and Edward. They were all born over a 20 year period but I am unsure of exact dates except for Robert. Do these names sound familiar to anyone? John died in 1927 and Polly married again. The younger children may have been adopted by her new husband Thomas Rimmer. |
